I live about 30 miles out of Chicago, Illinois.
I currently own a Husqvarna Sapphire sewing machine and very satisfied with it. My mom started me on machine embroidery around 2001 when I got her Brother 8500. I upgraded to a Brother PR600 in 2003. I am very satisfied with Brother embroidery machines and have referred people to check out what they have to offer. I have several other machines from mom. A small world this is as my mom’s Brother 8500 is now owned by a mutual friend of ours that we met through a Yahoo Group that lost all her belongings inHurricane Katerina. Mom would be happy knowing Deb has her machine.
My mom, an avid sewer and seamstress, continued to sew and embroider til she fell ill. We would compare ideas over the phone as much as possible. She taught me many things and I try and continue to get my daughter involved. My daughter is currently taking fiber courses at SAIC.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 at the age of 42. I would greatly appreciate if you click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.
I am married and have two wonderful adult kids. They will always be kids in my heart. My son is an electrician and my daughter is working towards her bachelor in Fine Arts. She is currently studying at the School of Art Institute in Chicago.
I retired in June 2009, from AT&T, with this hobby was hoping that I could continue to enjoy sewing and embroidering but the economy has put a damper on sales. Currently my Etsy sites are closed but you can still view items that were sold.
