Well I took the day to take photos and upload my items to my ETSY site. I’ve already gotten some hits on the items and some people have “hearted” my shop.
It makes me feel good when people like my work. I always send them a “thank you”. This also gives me the opportunity to look at their shops too. I love the quality of work that these people do. Their items are done really nice as well as some of them are truely unique.
Here are some snapshots of my aprons that I did for the Holiday Bazaar. You can view them on my etsy site as well. You’ve seen some of my other items here, but if you trip over to my etsy you can see better views of them and maybe items I might not have posted here.

Hmmm I seem to be missing one of the aprons.
So nothing much more is happening. Don’t feel like sewing or embroidering – wonder why. At least if I know I need a last minute gift, I have plenty of ‘em.
Tomorrow is back to work and I’ve been plenty busy. Hopefully now that I have my new puter I will be finally relocating. I did a tutorial on Microsoft 2007 last week and now I understand the ribbon on all the programs. It was quite confusing at first. Had to learn how to make pivot tables and boy is it simple when you have the formatted worksheets and a previous spreadsheet with the information on it. Heard that there is a lot of reorganization at my old job and might be a possible surplus of head count again.
Til later…

Well it was a very depressing night Friday. Lets put it this way, 3 hours is not enough time to try to sell anything nor for a Friday night and the time frame – 6 to 9.
I knew as soon as I got a listing of all the vendors that I would not sell anything. I did sell two items and the most expensive was my Vintage Ladies Embroidered on canvas. I sold the set for 40 bucks, so I made my money back for the table. But still, the atmosphere was uncomfortable.
You could say that most of the vendors were either selling products that they host shows for, i.e., Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, etc. or they made jewelry, which is a downfall for most women. Don’t get me wrong, I love the products and purchased from Tastefully Simple, but held off on the Pampered Chef til later. Tastefully Simple indicated to me that she didn’t make money at this bazaar herself. She really did like my aprons, but she was short and would rather get an apron that is more her size. We talked and I gave her one of my cards.
There wasn’t a large amount of people coming in either. It was very slow and even though I was all set up by 6, it took at least an hour before a large crowd came in. For that matter I don’t feel that there was a large crowd. You could see who were friends and most of the people were friends of friends otherwise I don’t think there was street traffic at all.
I was really upset for all my time and effort for this. I was told that most of the women were young and had babies and nobody bought anything. If it wasn’t for my friends that came, I would not have sold anything. Thank god for good friends <wink>.
Yesterday I did some google searches on craft shows for the upcoming months. I am only looking at shows for homemade items. There are a couple that I am interested in. Two at schools – one grammer and the other is high school. There is another one at a church. Then of course there is the one that I got a mailing for in December. I plan to call up on the other two, to see if I can still get a table.
So lets put it this way all my hard work didn’t pan out. As soon as I got home, I took all my stuff and put it away. The next morning my hubby got up the house was clean and he asked how it went. I didn’t want to talk about it cause he always has the negative attitude and pulls me down. For once I would love to show him and shut his mouth. I went and raked the leaves!!
